Hello all,

I installed dragon's dogma two days ago and since then I have not been able to hear anything in game.

The game volume is 100%, i can alt+tab and hear music perfectly, the gog galaxy volume is 100%. I've tried some tricks related to "low volume issues" from steam version users, and got no results too.

Is someone having the same problem? Do you have any idea about this fail?

I did have a problem with very low volume, but increasing the volume on my speakers allowed me to hear the in-game sounds.

I managed to fix my low volume issues by going into my system's audio config (in my case Asus' Realtek HD Audio Manager), setting the speaker configuration to 7.1 and then only "activating" the front left and right speakers.

Seems like Dragon's Dogma wants to output sound in surround no matter what, and if you've only got Stereo you have to somehow get your system to handle the 7.1 to stereo conversion, because Capcom can't be bothered.

But if you've tried the fixes for low volume, you've probably tried this already. And if you really have no sound whatsoever outside of the music, then it's probably another issue that I haven't personally experienced.

I'm not sure where the config.ini file would be located in the GOG version but this can be edited there. In the Steam version its in APPDATA\LOCAL\CAPCOM folder and can be edited with Notepad.
