I have a ps4 controller, and I use the DS4 controller mimicing an Xbox controller driver. However, even with this, the controller scheme is only listing buttons 1 - whatever, instead of listing it as A, B, X, Y, etc. I see the xbox control scheme for a second before i do something in the game and then it sends it back to the weird numerical button layout.

Is there a way to find some sort of mod that fixes this problem to make it work like a normal controller enabled game?

1. Gog Galaxy just got an update which buggered everyones gaming and crashes old games like NWN because Gog doesn't pause updates while people are playing... they pause game updates but not Galaxy updates

2. assuming you have installed the update and still have your problem then there are two possible causes;
you have Dogma set to use keyboard and mouse?
this assumes an actual mouse and doesn't work with any other gaming device

or you have it set to use your game device but the device itself is set wrong in Windows... goto the control panel (yes the old one and not the new settings) find it under 'printers and devices' right click the icon and open the settings to test | adjust them

This mod replaces only the numerical button textures to PS icons - no changes to other files.

Works great with my DS4 native driver - I am not using DS4Windows or any other XBOX emulators.

A tip for gamepad users.

You can still bind keyboard 1-5 hotkeys for consumables and use them during combat for your convenience.
Very useful for lighting up a wet lantern without needing to go to the inventory screen.
Simply go to the inventory with your mouse, select the consumable you want to bind and press 1-5 key.

Unfortunately, Ferrystone cannot be bound this way.
