I suggest everyone who playing GOG version of DDDA to become friends here, if you want share your pawn, recieve presents and collect Rift Stones rent. Post your pawns names here so we can recruite them and use in our adventures!

Sharing (gifts and knowledge) does not work on the GOG version. The only point or hiring pawns is to boost your party numbers, and you don't need friends to do that. It's a shame, because I have DD on GOG but play it on Steam to use the proper functions.

Well... its too sad. But anyway I will never use Steam. I have only GOG and Epic Game Store.

Do you mean to say if one gifts a pawn an item in the GOG version the item is never received by that user? That's something of a major issue. I have not been buying games elsewhere anymore because I loathe the idea of DRM. I may have to rethink that now.

Correct. The only reason to hire pawns in the GOG version is to boost your party. Nothing else works.

Well, at least the rest of the game works, or does it not? I know the Ur-Dragon works, because I defeated it on July 18th and got my username on the imposing stone slab, "Hunters of the Ur-Dragon," in the Chamber of Lament. The battle took numerous hours and I began the odious fray before the vile creature had taken any damage. I seemed to be the only one battling it until it's health was reduced to only some relatively few HP. One thing I noticed is that it was at Generation 74, while in the Steam server it's generation is up to the hundreds.

On a side-note, why does not my avatar show? Thank you, most kindly.

The link you posted only took me to my games page. I logged out and logged back in and still no avatar. I don't see any other links to add one and the one I uploaded does show at the top where the toolbar is and on my Account Page. It just doesn't appear here in the fora. Oh, bother.

Interestingly, I have had my pawn hired twice. She once returned with a sizable amount of Rift Crystals and some experience. That's something that does work with the pawns. At least there is that. Thank you for your help.

Btw idea of gifting is neat, but when ull get to lvl 200 it became useless. I was upset about this bug, but after all I was happy playing the game here, since I dont like Steam at all and looks like gifting is major issue since you can get everything anyway

From what I now understand, the gifting feature is borked on GOG. If you give a hired pawn something when releasing them, the pawns owner never actually receives it.

I have slain the online Ur-Dragon three times (approximately as much as 36 thousand Drakes each time) without use of The Maker's Finger and I have played the game over again many times; i also played with a new character. I have spend countless hours defeating the vile creatures, Death, and Daimon on BitterBlack island. With Nexus mods there is a lot to make the game more fun, more interesting and even better looking.
