Loved this game back in the day, I had the floppy disk version back in the day. And still have a CD re-release of it, and have started a new game.

Have you put any points into Fistfighting (or whatever it's called)? It's actually a very good skill for its cost, even if it doesn't reach the power of endgame weapons.

I too have multiple copies on 3.5 disks, many different parties, and then my "ultimate" group that are my original starters. Have run through the game countless times with them and have godlike stats. Even have a character that only uses fists and does beyond endgame level damage. Ever find the secret points bonus in the Megan Underground?

I can still remember tranferring my characters over from Bards tale and playing them through Dragon Wars. I was unable to finish Bard's Tale but I was able to finish Dragon Wars. It is one of the few games I was able to finish. God this game was fun. I tried playing it last year but the magic has passed for me. At least I'll always have fond memories.
