Hi guys, wanted to ask real quick if anyone knows if the GotFW skill book exploit still works? I can't seem to make it work.

For those who don't know, the short version is:
1. Click the GotFW book and exit the menu to get the 3 skill points.
2. Quicksave and exit to the menu
3. Disable the Collector's Ed DLC in the menu.
4. Force load the quicksave.
5. Quicksave again and exit back to the menu.
6. Re-enable the Collector's Ed DLC
7. Reload to the quicksave.
8. GotFW should be back in your inventory and available to use again.

Rinse and repeat.

I recently bought the game on Origin and attempted the exploit. Can't seem to get it to work, either. Did you ever figure it out? I know this thread is old, but I'm checkin' everywhere for solutions.

Unfortunately no, I never could get it to work. Google gave me nada either. If you figure it out, please come back and let us know.

Yeah, same here, can't find anything about any patches to it. Eh, if it was patched, no worries. Anyway, thanks for the response.
Things like this are just strange to me. Do you not see that as cheating?
I mean, I don't mind cheating on a single player game at all, but that's what that is.

So.. why not pretend the exploit works and just add the skill points through actual cheat:

Here's another one: after completing all quests at the Frostback mountains, repeatedly enter and exit the door to the summit (where the high dragon appears). This is a very simple exploit that should really have been fixed, but quite obviously they weren't interested in patching it out, or any of the other myriad of exploits. Not to mention the memory leak(s) :p

Another one is the fact that Potent Lyrium potions sell for more than the ingredients cost. So with these two exploits you can reach the level cap and get infinite gold easily enough.
