Tried running DAO on Windows 10 and getting Visual C++ runtime error - runtime terminated in unextected way. I downloaded latest version of C++ redistributable and it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Hello.
Do you have a security software (like Bitdefender) that protect the access to some private directories?
I got the same problem and it was Bitdefender that was blocking the access to config files in "My documents".
Once i authorized the "daoriginsconfig.exe" (Dragon Age: Origins Configuration Utility) to access the directory, it solved the crash problem.

Try going into your installation folder, then to the 'redist' folder and install all the programs in there as these are the redistributables that the game requires in order to run.

If you still have issues, try the solutions here:

Authorize the "daoriginsconfig.exe" (per Win10 / Microsoft Ransomwareprotection) to access the directory solved my Crash Problem. Thanks a lot :)
