Hello,

several mods and tools (including AFAIK the vanilla DAUpdater.exe you'll find in your DAO install folder's "bin_ship" subdirectory) assume the existence of a registry folder at "HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Bioware\Dragon Age" where they can find, for instance, a "Path" key.

However, this is absent in the GOG version. Instead there's the GOG install data in HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\GOG.com\Games\1949616134.

(Note: on 32-bit Windows, you don't get the Wow6432\ part.)

Anyone knows how to address that? I'm thinking notably of mods such as this one.

When you download the toolset, it comes with a small script that will add those registry keys when run as admin.
According to the help file that comes with it, the keys are not created on purpose, because it'll mess with GOG's updater, so you'll have to run the script a second time after using the toolset to remove them again before starting the game. Same probably goes for the mod you linked.
Greetings!
I don't know if this is of use to anyone, but the keywords in google directed me here.
In my case, the registry path of the GoG installation is in fact "HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Bioware\Dragon Age" but the key called "Path" was named "Path_". I have no idea why and if that "_" is important for anything. But as a result, the DAUpdater.exe was unable to find the installation path and everything that comes with it and gave some errors, the worst one was that the content I have downloaded would require a newer version of DAO than I had installed. I think this was because he was unable to find which version I had installed.
My solution was to simply create a new string called "Path" (without the "_") with the same information (the installation path) in the same registry folder where "Path_" was. I hope that there will be no conflicts or whatsoever.
Now no more errors show up in the log.
Since this was quite easy, is it possible to simply create a whole new registry path (in your case HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Bioware\Dragon Age) with every information the mods ask for if -c-bibliothekar's solution didn't work?
Maybe this information helps someone that likes reading the DAUpdater.exe logs and getting rid of error messages.

The _ was added to stop Origin replacing the GOG DRM free version with the Origin required version if you had the game on both.

It worked for me, I just replaced the "Path_" with "Path" which is located in registry HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Bioware\Dragon Age.

You don't need to do this manually, like -c-bibliothekar said above, there is a script that comes with the toolset download that does it for you. You just run it as administrator.
If you have the game on Origin as well, you should run the script again after you have run the toolset once, to put it back to Path_ or Origin will automatically "update" the game with their version.
