***PROBLEM SOLVED, SEE MY LAST POST***
Hi,
I installed Downfall on Win7 64-bit without any issues. When I launch the game, the main menu with "New Game" / "Load Game" / "Exit" appears with the music, I can see the white crosshair cursor but it doesn't move. Also, there is no animation as it should be, it's all frozen.
Technically I can click on "New Game" by guessing the position of the Windows mouse pointer in the game window, but even then, I can hear the opening music, but the screen is tuck at the main menu. I have to force-close it because I can't click on "Exit Game".
I tinkered with every possible setting in the EXE's Compatibility tab, the game is set to run as Administrator, no improvement.
I also experimented with the AGS settings. I unticked the 85Hz setting because I'm running the game on a laptop at 640x480 resolution. Again, I tried every single setting, to no avail. The only thing that works is that I can run the game in a window as opposed to full screen and I can see the Windows mouse pointer disappearing when I mouse over the game window, but the crosshair does not take over as it should.
All my drivers are up to date and most Gog games I own, even the older ones, work well.
I opened a ticket with support last night so let's see what happens next. I'll report here if a solution is found.
