It's a pity - if you've bought this game on GOG you're out of luck.

No patch, no update, no response from the support...

This is really annoying

The latest Steam version of the game is at 1.1.3... the GOG version is at 1.0.10... I love GOG, but this happens way too often where the GOG releases get abandoned while the Steam version keeps chugging along

Worst part of it - cooperative feature in this patch - steam only.

I reached out to the devs a week or so ago on this one and this is th response I got back:

"Unfortunately since we are a small team we developed the multiplayer / network code using steam's SDK / network code, so it's pretty much tied to that right now.

We are also looking into having the multiplayer update on GoG as well, but first we need to polish the game / code more, to fix existings bugs, and after that we probably gonna implement GoG's Galaxy network code as well.

We couldn't release it at the same time both on Steam and GoG. We're only 2 programmers. Would've been double the effort.

Steam also allowed us to fix nasty bugs really fast, and submit updates that reached our users almost instantly.

Almost or actually all the things in the new updates are multiplayer / coop related. Nothing else changed.

I was just wondering if the multiplayer includes (on Steam or possibly on Good Old Games in the future) an option for LAN play? Yes, I still play games on LAN sometimes. Door Kickers is still one of my most favorite games even without multiplayer, though, and I am still eagerly and patiently waiting for Door Kickers 2 or an update on its progress (screenshots, trailers, ETA).

That's fantastic news they are "looking into" supporting GOG for multiplayer. Thanks for the update. This was the critical thing I wanted to know before further considering a purchase.

They're cool developers. They gave me a Steam key to play coop, they may do the same if you reach out.

it would be nice if they did a reciprocal deal with GOG and Steam...I forgot what it's called, but you get the GOG version if you have the Steam version, or something like that. Or I might do the reach-out thing you suggested - that would be easier :) Thanks!

Any news about the patch yet?
