In Brutal Doom + GZDoom I seem to have a problem where if there is a weapon that requires reload, sometimes Doomguy will start shooting endlessly then reloading, rinse and repeat.

The only way to break this cycle seems to be mashing the button furiously to a different weapon that does not have reload. There is no way to predict when it is going to happen and it is quite infuriating. Is there a setting to turn this shooting for no reason off?
