Is there any hope for the appearance of updated re-releases of versions of DOOM / DOOM II released on Bethesda and later moved to Steam?

I hope so. The free stuff we got with the other platforms is pretty neat.

Why not just use GZDoom? Or do you just want something official?

Because I love to play vanilla style. I purchased re-releases via Bethesda and gain this in Steam. But GOG my prefered platform. Whats why I hope in this idea.

BFG versions of DOOM / DOOM 2 are good (vanilla with newly OS support), but re-releases plays better.
