ChristopherS: How long did it take for Klei support to get back to any of you with your Steam key? They requested my GoG key to verify my purchase and I have not heard back since I provided my key on Sunday.
I sent them a day ago. I haven't received it yet.

I receieved my Don't Starve key yesterday but no Together key. Am I supposed to purchase it or what? I thought DST was free until June 3rd.

You will get Don't Starve Together free on June 3rd for owning Don't Starve on Steam.

I emailed on 20th May and received the email response with key on 26th May. I guess they are probably dealing with a fair number of requests for keys right now.

Make sure you just use the key before then.

On june 3rd, everyone with a redeemed steam key of the base game will get DST for free. So you are fine.

It took them less than 12 hours to send me a steam key. I used the contact form on their support page.

I just got my key through Klei just the same as others here. But it's a Steam key...;(

I don't use Steam, so it's useless to me. For kicks I tried it here and it doesn't work. But I assume it's just an indirect, though free way to play it for owners, regardless of where you bought it.

I would like to know how I can get it on my GOG shelf though, because otherwise it will have to sit there and not be re-deeemd.

Do you need the original don't starve to activate it? Or is it just a full don't starve version?

I'm pretty sure you need the original to get it for free at least. I just want to see an official GOG release, free or not. I e-mailed them again to see what's going on. It supposedly went public yesterday so I don't know why it isn't here yet.

Um, it's still early access, so even if they did decide to make drm-free version, that would have to wait for EA to end.
The "opening the flood gates" is nothing more than giving EA for free to old DS owners.

I've waited a long time already. I got plenty of games to keep me busy till then, especially with the summer sale :)

Okay what I did was just send an email to KLEI sopport. Provide them with your GOG key and they'll give you a steam key. Took them just 2 days so hurrah!

I asked about don't starve together at 4-th june and didn't received any answer.
Too bad that they can't make multiplayer version on they own.
