I am a reasonable fan of RPG games, though I've not really played many isometric titles... though I love turn based combat.
After watching a few gameplay videos and reviews, I can say that my interest in this title is piqued.
Would you say that this title is worth the full price of admission?
My stance on the issue: Do you have a friend to coop the game with? Totally worth the full price, coop implementation is excetional. Are you going to play it alone? Eeeh, wait for a sale. The game gets sort of repetitive down the line - having a friend along helps a decent amount with this, but playing it alone makes the repetitiveness rear its ugly head a lot sooner.

Just FYI, you might want to check out Jagged Alliance 2, Silent Storm and Silent Storm Sentinels, Fallout Tactics, and possibly Temple of Elemental Evil.

I would, even just for single player. I backed the game on Kickstarter for a physical version (for 3 times 'full price', since shipping wasn't free to Canada, just the US and Europe), even though I would have gotten a digital copy anyway.

Tried Jagged Alliance 2, can't run it for whatever reason, even after installing the community made patches.

That's odd. I've never had any problems with it, myself. It is getting to be a pretty old game though.
I don't like Jagged Alliance 2 at all, too outdated interface and controls, just didn't age well. But Original Sin is very well worth the full price.
Well, that's your opinion. I disagree because JA2 has quality where it counts, especially with the fan-made 1.13 patch. For squad-level turn-based combat it's still one of the best. .I don't have any explanation for the technical problems though. It's been a couple of years since I played it.

To be honest I enjoyed the Divinity 2 Director's Cut a lot too, even though it's a third-person action cRPG with real-time combat. I don't usually enjoy those kinds of games.

You forgot to mention which game you are referring to.

Didn't try any patch but for me easy and intuitive controls are what count. And I couldn't even figure them out in JA2 at all. Even just moving a unit was tedious.
In my opinion, it's totally worth it. Although I can't say it's perfect, it's really close and it entertained me for 3 whole months non-stop without getting bored at all. Very sweet visuals, great combats, magnificent writing and a stellar soundtrack!

Never played co-op, although I'll make sure I'll try it after the new version comes out that it'll support split screen. Can't wait to get back to Rivellon!

Original Sin, sorry about that. Used to the steam interface where there was a forum for each game, not for the whole series.

I have all the Divinity games but regret buying this one .When engaged in battle there is no way to move your side while the oppostion is free to move and the game jumps around that much it is imposible to know were to aim any spells. these also keep turning off so you cannot use with any effect.
100% worth it !

Huh? There are none of these issues present in Original Sin. Though I'm not sure what you mean with "there is no way to move your side while the opposition is free to move". Your character can certainly move, it just costs AP, same as for the "opposition". And when you use spells it shows you the the whole path your projectiles take as well as marking every unit that will be hit by the spell, so how can you have problems knowing where to aim?
