hi, i just went down into the cursed abbey. all of a sudden i noticed my stamina is draining very fast for no reason. i dont see any debuffs in my stats anywhere. i left the abbey, restarted game, drank potions etc it just keeps draining. quite annoying to say the least. does anyone know if that is a bug or some gameplay feature i missed?

Are you carrying a big halberd or spear in your backpack? I don' remember the name of this weapon but it has a special stamina drain ability. Drop it or sell it and the stamina drain will be ended.

thank you zeroflag. you are completely right. it was that dumb halbert thing. wow. luckily i saved a point at that part so i continue from there. i started an ealier safegame and played from there again. pretty bad design decision in my book. thanks to you and the community for always being helpful.

it's not bad design (in that case). it's a cursed item. you know, as in "it's really powerful but there's a really nasty drawback" cursed.
and, if you thik about it, as long as you don't mind being slowed to a walk all the time, it's not that bad of a drawback ;-)

bad in the sense that it leads people like me to load an earlier savegame because i was thinking its a bug. i may have just uninstalled it. it should cleary state the effect of the item and show a debuff to give an indication to you WHY its happening.

Well, as suggested earlier, you could either drop or sell the item. No need to reload a save

This has been answered but you can identify the halberd easily. If you have one in your inventory that says, "There is something strange about this weapon", get rid of it!
