How well tested was DD's new patch?
I only ask, because the game is virtually unplayable for me. Played a bit, ran into problem with teleporter stone listed in another thread. No way of fixing it.
No problem - restarted with a new chatacter. Can't enter the catacombs, as every time I try to change a level (either down the steps or using the teleporter stone) the camera remains fixed on the original level, so I can't see or move my character. The automap just goes black.
Okay, third character. This time, whenever Larimor turns up to give me the pyramid stone, the whole screen goes black, and it just crashes straight to desktop. This then happens with any save I use for that character, as do all the other bugs.
I can't believe that if on my fourth attempt to get past the opening settlement I manage to get through, there won't be any more game breakers for me just round the corner.
This is the first time I've ever been completely disappointed by a GOG purchase. For me (running a 1GB eee netbook with XP, which played the non-GOG version of DD fine), this game seems to be completely corrupted by game-breaking bugs. It seems bizarre that I can be the only one experiencing this?
