I'm currently at the point where the Council of Seven will send my character to the Land of the Dead, after which she gets resurrected as the Divine One. I noticed that this step will erase all open quests from the quest log, so just in case I completed all of them first. Now my question is:

Will I still get the chance to get back to where I stored all my stuff and trade etc. or should I prepare and put an end to ALL unfinished business now before joining the ceremony, selling everything I don't need anymore and taking all items I want to keep with me in my inventory?

Once you do the ceremony (ring the gong) you go to the Wastelands and you can't come back from within the Wastelands gameplay.

I would finish up all loose ends before finishing the ceremony. I do suggest you make a save prior to ringing the gong. That way if you get there and find that you want something from the earlier game - you can load the save and retrieve the item(s). You will have to ring the gong and start over at your Wasteland arrival but it is a way to go back assuming you have not played too far into the Wastelands. . . =)

Will there still be an opportunity to spend money before the game ends or can I just skip selling stuff I don't need from now on?

Oh, and did you mean I can't come back until I've completetd the Wastelands part or did you mean I won't come back to the place where I stored my stufff EVER before the game ends?

You will have many items to buy from the Orc. He sets up shop in a destroyed town. I actually liked his stuff better than any other store as it seemed to be better than usual. It does cost alot so you will need money. You will be doing lots of fighting and find many items of value. Don't want to spoil it for you . . . My second play through I saved as much as I could to buy the high quality charms found there. Course there is always the dup cheat if you need alot of cash ***looks the other way***. . . =)

Edit: I left a couple of items partially uncharmed until I could buy some there. Seems I remember the Orc refreshed his inventory every day.

Is that the same orc you meet right after being resurrected? Hm, maybe I will go through my packrat collection then and sell everything I don't need anymore before heading to the Wastelands (although I'm already pretty rich).

Btw, will the teleport stones still work if I take them both with me, so I can establish a new base near the orc's shop?

Sorry, I should have answered you last question as well. Once in the Wastelands you cannot go back to the previous game areas. You will not be able to go back to where you stored you stuff EVER . . except for reloading a save made just before performing the ritual. When you finish the Wastelands . . . the game will be over. It takes a while as there is lots of fighting and exploring but . . . you can't go back to previous game areas . . . =(

Yes, the teleport stones still work if you brought them with you. If not there is another set hidden in the upper Wastelands.
