Would you please mark Stuff's post as a solution? That would have two benefits: Stuff gets 5 rep points, and anyone who sees the thread will see it's 'Solved', thus won't come here to answer it, but if someone has a problem with the game, they can check it out and it may solve that.

Actually, my suggestion didn't solve his problem unless he reinstalled as an admin. I believe he just changed the Compatibility mode to Win 2k so he solved it for himself . . . =)
His problem with not moving from the cellar to upstairs is something you would see if the game was not installed as an admin. If he didn't install as an admin, changing the compatibility mode will probably be a temporary fix. Time will tell . . . =)

This solution system is not quite what it should be. Lots of folks don't mark questions solved, some because they don't know they should, some on purpose it seems. Often the actual solution is not marked as such but rather a complete miss for a solution. I noticed one user some how marked his second post as the solution . . . lol. Probably GOG support should go thru the different game forums and mark actual solutions from time to time or at least clean up the questions with solutions but not marked as such by marking them.
I try to solve as many problems as I can, question or not, it is nice to occasionally get credit for a solution . . . =)
Edit: I don't think most new members, maybe even some old timers, realize that Solved questions become part of the support articles for the game.

Actually, that was probably marked as solved by someone from gog's staff , they do that sometimes.
There's no way to mark one of your own posts as the solution if you're the OP AFAIK.
