Whenever I'm trying to "join" a game, there are no network options for me, it only says that I'm not connected to galaxy servers.
Why is that, how is that possible, and how can it be fixed?
(I did use a standalone installer, because galaxy just hung up at "moving 100%", and I lost my patience,
but I'm still running the game through the galaxy client )

Update:
A friend sent me an invite to join his game through galaxy.
The message told me, to be able to accept, i must use galaxy... Mind you, i was reading this message through galaxy.
I found this absolutely retarded, so I restarted the whole machine. Now I was able to accept the invitation.
BUT, when the game booted up, I immediately failed to join, and STILL, i was unable to connect to galaxy servers.
What is going on?

rob.liefeld: not connected to galaxy servers.
In the left column, select D:OS EE (if it isn't listed, click the GOG.com menu button and select Scan and Import Folders) and check the version number beside the More button; latest is 2.0.119.430(lang hotfix). If needed, click More and select Settings, then select automatic updates, rather than manual. If that doesn't trigger an update (assuming it is still at the pre-Galaxy version of 2.0.119.430), click More, then in the Manage Installation menu, select Verify / Repair.

Been there, done that,
didn't help, already updated,
so thank you, but that's not it, unfortunately :(
I wrote to the support team as well,
no response yet, though.

rob.liefeld: already updated,
Did you try exiting out of the Galaxy client and starting the game from a shortcut (or directly from the executable)?

Did you double check your anti-virus and firewall settings for Galaxy and the game, or exiting out of them and then trying the game? Maybe specific ports are blocked, or something.

Thanks again for the reply,
Still no luck.
I shut down everything altogether (windows firewall as well as well as eset and everything else), it still doesn't seem to work.

Unfortunately, GOG Galaxy's latest update broke Galaxy multiplayer support for just about every game:

I have not tried multiplayer, but I don't get an error in the EE if I click on Join from the main menu, and when I just checked there was a lobby listed.

Okay, it seems that there was some kind of authentication error after the last Galaxy update. You need to log out of the client, and then log back in, and it should work then.
That could explain why I didn't have a problem; I didn't have Galaxy running, so had to log in after starting it and getting the update.
Indeed, that makes sense. I unintentionally leave Galaxy running all the time, and on top of that I almost never turn off my computer. =\
