I installed DivDiv on my netbook, removing my old CD copy ... the problem is that while the original auto-filled the screen, the GoG version started by default at 1024 x 768 and overfilled the screen, causing it to pan. Looking at the configuration utility, I could get other resolutions, but nothing for the 1024 x 600 that is present on my Lenovo s10. Anyone else see this?
It'd be nice to have more 16:10 resolutions in general, like 1280 x 800 or 1920 x 1200. The available resolutions seem a little arbitrary.
They're not really arbitrary, it's what we get back from the Windows API. We filter out non-landscape resolutions, and resolutions that we know that will not work correctly. For instance, on my Asus 1005HA I cannot play on 1024x600 because the user interface is confused.
If you want to try playing in another resolution than the tool proposes, try editing the config.div file manually (e.g. with Notepad) and change these values:
// display width
width 1600
// display height
height 1200

Thanks, I'll give it a shot ... been playing fine in 800 x 600 for now.
On my bog standard N120 the game runs VERY slowly at 800x600 in Low detail. Considering the recommended memory is 128MB and the netbook has 1GB seems rather odd.
Any ideas?
[EDIT] Oops - turns out it was my performance setting - I was on power saving which slows the processor. I set it to 'auto' which adjusts processor performance according to load and it works a treat. So - yes - very netbook friendly :)

Thanks for the tip ! Even on a desktop, the game plays by default in 1024*768 and the tool doesn't propose more than 1280*960, even not the standard 1280*1024 !
So editing the file is the only way to get the wanted res.
This allowed the game to work @ 1920x1080 on my Windows 7 x64 PC which is awesome! But the real bonus is that I can finally watch the opening video to this game which was not working before this change was made.

Have you tried the method that DeathKnight suggested with 1024x600? Does it work? 800x600 woul be ok but is really tiny on a Netbook screen.
