Seriously how hard is it to provide an example of at least a few types of items...What's the point to putting something into a game and then never bothering to explain it...And don't give me that try a few things and figure it out bullshit either. People full well know you cannot even mess around with this system and get lucky, it requires a specific explanation on some procedure in order to do that.

Knowing that crafting in needed and seeing what is needed to make something, doesn't matter and isn't relevant when there are no instructions on the exact procedure and steps, on how to take those items and turn it into something.

I'm pretty sure All armors are made using the same steps and the same with weapons and so forth
So once you do the steps on one, you use those same steps on anything of it's type

The problem is that the steps for doing this aren't explained anywhere so it's unusable. And saying COMBINE them together isn't an explanation..that says what has to be done with those items but not what you have to do in order to get them combined.

Anyone care to outline the steps on a few types.

normally when you drag an inventory item to the space taken by another inventory item they will swap places if the items can be combined instead you will get a pop up box showing you the resulting item and asking if you want to go a head

to make a bow for instance you need a branch and a bow string


bow string you make by getting a piece of sinew and dragging it in you inventory to another piece of sinew
then take the branch and the bow string drag one to the other in your inventory and tell the game yes you want to make it

some item you drag your inventory item over a furnace or anvil

hopefully this helps figure things out i does give a lot of options to do things but does not make using them very easy

What are the text color in order from lowest to highest

Example I have green and blue text items..Is green higher than blue or blue higher than green? And do you know how many text colors there are?

I don't stress about the crafting system that much… prefer to purchase but some useful things are;

Two minor heal potions make a large… it's generally better for a character to drink these during boss fights than rely on the magic heal spells.

Blank arrow heads + *barrel make arrow heads of those types i.e. oil, water and slime… note that the barrel doesn't get used up and can make endless amounts of arrows.
* Your craft character needs at least 6 str to lift the barrel but str items are easy to find and can just be stored until needed.

Arrow head (any type) + arrow shafts = arrows of that type… note that normal arrows are endless so there is little point to making more than one per arrow character.

Nine inch nails + boots (any type) makes the character using them immune to slipping over… a remarkably useful little buff for any level character.
The order is plain, blue, green and then gold (looks brown to me)…
Btw Jahan has points in blacksmith and can use a basic repair hammer to keep your gear looking spiffy.

so blue items are called "magic" they have a small bonus lowest on the scale

green items are called "rare" they will have more bonuses

orange is "legendary" it will have the most bonuses and can get effects that are not found on other items

there is also gold? not sure what color i would call it so gold sounds close those items are" unique" and are normally part of the story they can be very good or not

so 3 text colors lowest blue then green then orange with gold not telling you much

also the level of the item will effect its stats a lot so somethings if you have have a legendary item for a while you will find a blue that is better

crafted items normally have very good base stats for their level and you can't see what they will be till you have made the item, it tends to come down to eyeballing things and deciding what is good for you

That specific site is terrible I can't make heads or tails out of what's what'.

It's worded all messed up and has no definitions to what half that crap on that page means. Such as INPUT 2 and crap

Crafting turned out to be extremely valuable for me.

Don't take this the wrong way, but slow down and re-read things. That will answer many of the questions in your threads, including the one in your last post. The info in that Larian forum thread, and also the Gamepedia site, is shown in a very clear manner if you put aside your frustration for a moment and read carefully.

As to the specific question, by Requirement it is referring to the level of the Crafting or Blacksmith skill of the character that you are trying to use for this type of work. If the item shows CR 3, then your crafting character needs to have a Crafting skill level of 3 or higher to make that item. Ditto BR X, where X is the Blacksmith skill level needed to make that item.

The entries are [skill type and level] [item the recipe will create] [ingredients]

You've likely encountered by now some armor and other wearables that can boost those skills by a point or two, so be sure to equip them before you start crafting and blacksmithing (you might put them, and also crafting tools, in one of the hotkey tabs for easy swapping). The effects are cumulative so if you have, for instance, both a ring and also some bracers that each have Crafting +1, then this adds 2 to that character's base Crafting skill.

Again, both of those sites are very clear on crafting and blacksmithing. They both specifically tell the reader for each "recipe" exactly what level is needed. Don't know how it can be made more plain than that. That's exactly what's in the Larian forum thread, using a simple abbreviation that is defined in the very first post. Again, how can it be more plain than that, short of typing "Crafting level" instead of "CR" and "BR". I mean, seriously: you do understand the purpose and use of abbreviations, right? The Gamepedia site doesn't use abbreviations and instead uses a table header labeled "Skill Level". Again, it's labeled "Skill Level". How does that not make sense to you? Everyone else gets it...


I'm done answering this crap for your entitled, lazy ass. Read the damn manual already. Takes maybe 20 minutes, which is much less time than you spend ranting about the game and ranting about those who try to help you.
