I have Windows 8.1 and the game is very slow or very fast. It changes speed all the time. Anyone know what to do with it?

In the configuration program (where you set the resolution) try switching to Software mode.

I was having the same problem and running it in software mode via the settings option in the folder fixed it for me.

My guy was literally walking like he was wading through quicksand prior to doing that.
