So, my video card has 256 megs of VRAM, and D:OS needs 512 minimum. If I played in a small window, with the graphics settings on low, would the game still be framey/unplayable?

On Mac, that would run the game on low.

On Windows, though, the minimum spec is an Intel HD 4000, compared to the HD 3000 for Mac. It might possibly run the game, but I would not be shocked if it either crashed on startup or had unplayable performance. Your chances would be better if the CPU and memory were not also at or below the minimum, but that wouldn't guarantee anything.

List the rest of your system specs, and maybe someone with a similar setup can provide some feedback.

True. I did forget to mention I'm using an unsupported OS. Also, I'd feel I was cheating myself if I didn't play with the settings on or near high. I really like the look of the game, and I want to enjoy that in motion :)

In that case, then, you are better off waiting.
