If any of the devs could update us with even a rough guess-timate that would be appreciated.

As far as I know GoG isn't doing the patch, Larian Studios (the original developer) is. I would check their site for that.

Larian Dev's DeathKnight and Sektor have been very active here in the DD forum. They seem to be the guys working on a patch and have responded to most questions from the GOG community. Probably get a quicker response here since they are working closely with GOG.
I was glad to see someone post the question as I was trying not to rush them . . . = ^ )

I haven't played DD in about a month because I've been waiting on this patch.

I've had my game on hold for a few months as well. :(

I'm just Hopping it' comes out before divinity 2.

Same here, I'm from Belgium and back when Divine Divinity was first released, I wasn't into RPG's at all, times have changed and after spending 4 hours in the DIvinity 2-demo I immediately ordered it from Fnac ( it's out in Europe already apparently )! Then I saw on their site that they had put it on GoG, so I created an account and bought both games :-)
Btw to the people of Larian studios, please do some more effort in telling people this game is out, I consider myself an avid gamer and I follow quite a few websites ( NO NOT 9lives.be since it is a nest for little snotnosed kids/fanboys ) yet I totally did not know this game was out already! And I bet a lot of people suffer the same problem as me...
The demo makes it seem like this game is a LOT better then DragonAge yet nobody knows about it :-(
Sadly I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and DD simply refuse to start up ( see the Vista 64bit thread )

I am running DD on Windows 7 64bit with no problems except the mentioned bugs and crashes. with an 8800GT and latest drivers.

the please tell us your settings! I've got a dual Nvidia 260 SLI-setup on a quad-core-system so the problem should not be the power of my machine :-)

1. Turn off UAC
2. Installed game to my H:/games dir (not the default one)
3. Make sure your admin
4. I added this command to set it running on 1 core proc ie "H:\Games\Divine Divinity\div.exe" /affinity 1 (note the /affinity 1 command)
I don't have sli vid cards so don't know if this affects the starting of the game

Not knowing how long before the patch is released . . . Sacred Gold is much the same "style" RPG and it might be on sale now. Much bigger game with similar game play, SG is what I am playing while I wait on the DD patch . . .=)

Waiting for a patch impatiently as well... Waiting is fine with me, but at least a brief status update would be most welcome.

hello all... its is saying on this for me. got a error divinity was not correctly terminated the last time.it is recommend that all dynamic files will be cleaned up and that all confingaration data will be resetted. all savegames will be still available atferwards. this when i play the game doing quest or a boss kick me out puts me back main window can som eone help me out plz and thank you all.

Anytime the game crashes it will ask you if you want to "clean up" the files. I have always clicked yes and never had a problem. It does take you back to your last save if I remember correctly.
If I understand you are getting a CTD when you replay? There are some known bugs, entering the church, using statues, etc. that will crash you every time (for most). Without knowing where you are in the game it will be hard to recommend a workaround.
