I know you're not personally responsible, but as the designated point of day-to-day contact with the users, you have to expect to listen to our grievances with the company you work for, not just with you personally. Not that I have any grievances with you :-)
And like I said, seeing what the site rewrite brings requires the site rewrite to actually happen, and since you (GOG, not Judas) won't tell us when that is, just saying "let's see" doesn't really inspire any patience in us.

And when is that again? I know there are some bigger things planned for GOG from an interview, but in there it was said during the year (or first half of the year?) or something...

For some reason I was under the impression that the site rewrite was supposed to have been launched in January. I can't remember where I read that, but I thought I read within the first few weeks of the new year. My brain, out of excitement, might have reinterpreted "first part of the year" as "first few weeks in January", however.

Judas, do you have an ETA on that site re-write? I'm really very excited to see what improvements it brings. The last rewrite was very nice, but still fell short of expectations.

IIRC, TET gave no ETA in his post about the side-wide rewrite, just that it was undergoing - I can't recall in which thread he posted about that and, as we all know, the forum search function is literally useless in this case (as well as many others).

The only thing we have to go by are a couple of recent interviews that mention announcements of big changes in the first half of 2014 and in Q1 of 2014. So, best case scenario is sometime between March and June.

But since we know nth about the actual side changes, we can only hope and keep our fingers crossed that this issue will be finally addressed.


And that would explain why the flag insists even though I clicked on every single thing in the Mac installer.

So, could we have some info what the change consists of and if it's worth redownloading the windows installer?

The only difference that I know of in the Windows installer (have not re-downloaded it yet) is the inclusion of the music fix.

Ah, that's good to know and actually worth redownloading the installer - will have to add it to the download list with the new FLAC soundtracks.

Still, odd that such a fix would go unannounced in a silent update - not good :(

Holy fucking shit this is freaking awesome! I did not know that Larian had released a fix. Frankly I wasn't that optimistic about it since so much time had passed but now I know, Larian is one of those good developers. Now I can finally play the game!

And thanks to the good people at GOG who takes our various problems with games seriously. Especially for such things that not everybody cares about like missing music, quality of music and the like. You are doing a great job!

Well, yeah, great that they still care for this game, but truth be told, they messed up this game support-wise pretty badly. When they "lost" their latest source code version and therefore we now have to live with a strange in-between version based on a older version with still many quirks and bugs inside.

I think Larian should take here the consequent step and open source the old and outdated engine of Divine Divinity and let the community fix the remaining bugs in no time. (E.g. like Arkane Studio did with Arx Fatalis while still being sold here)
