I just started Divine Divinity again after quite some time. I can't hide the interface by right clicking it. I can use skills and close single interface windows, but I can't hide the whole thing.

Last time I played this game it worked.

I've been using win xp back then, now win 7.
I think the last time was before the universal update 1.02.

I can only seem to find people with the opposite problem who accidentally hid the interface.

Please, can anyone help me?

That, and the fact that people tend to play the game in higher resolutions now, was why the feature to minimize the interface was removed in the 1.006 release (Win9x support was also dropped, though even with the 1.005 release GOG's installer required XP).

In the original disk version or 1.005 you can still right click on the menu bar to toggle between that and 3 lines (for health, mana and stamina); with the 1.006 anthology release, that is no longer possible (though that version did get a fix for the music bug, which GOG may have updated the main installer or patch by now - check the version number in the bottom right corner of the main menu; 1.0062A is the music fix).

Aw, thank you. Too bad. Sometimes the possibility to remove the game's HUD makes me buy a game. I'm screenshot addicted.

Luckily I'm also paranoid and found the old installer (1.005A) in the backup of some backup behind some backups. I will hang on to it, burn it onto several DVDs and defend them with my life :P

Are the patch notes for the anthology version posted anywhere?

No, not really. The anthology version was basically just re-adding the high resolution support and a few Win 7 compatibility fixes to the game after problems with backups caused the loss of the source code for the 1.005 version (Hatching the Anthology). The configuration program was updated to support Software mode (1.005 requires the use of the disk version configuration program to switch out of Direct3D), but other than the above mentioned changes, the anthology version is nearly identical to the 1.005 release.
Then I'm fine with the older version.

Thank you very much for you help!
