Just got this game and have been trying to play it but the game keeps crashing when I press certain keys. S, Esc, F5(quick save) all crash the game when press (Esc does it most of the time, worked once).

Any fix for this?

What Operating System ?

is it a laptop or desktop ?

Any additional drivers (eg Logitech) or keyboard remapper installed ?

On the start screen, in the lower right corner it should say "Divine Divinity - V1.005A", is this your version?

Are your video drivers up to date? Running the latest video drivers is important with DD.

Do you have access to another keyboard? Try using a different keyboard to confirm it is not your keyboard causing the problem. If it crashes with an alternate keyboard, a bad keyboard can be eliminated as the problem.

Did you try setting the game short cut to different compatibility modes? Right click the game short cut, click Properties, click Compatibility tab, check mark "Run this program in compatibility mode" and select the newest mode, click apply, try the game, if still not working try the next newest compatibility mode working backward from newest to oldest.

Edit: I would suggest not using the F5 key for quick saves as it will sometimes corrupt a save, using the S key for all saves seems to work best for me . . . =)
