You should not only do that but back up C:\Users\Username\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\DLC as this DLC folder won't be auto-generated when you delete it and without that folder no matter if newest patch applied game will not recognize Companion DLC as active.

I have applied the patch 1.0.130 to 1.0.169 + Free DLC. I see no update (2.10.0.20, 300.9MB) in my GOG library. I wish GOG would show a systematic way of updating and patching. I am confused.

I know why things have not been working. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game and the correct patches. My issue was that I had bought and installed the Source Hunter paying and 10 bucks for it. Then I saw the last patch which has the DLC in it. Well to Non Source Hunter DLC did not activate. Things seem to be OK. I will see if 2 quests now: weresheep and captives in ice.
