Ok, after re-reading your post I believe I understand the problem.

You said above :

Which means the room should look like the attached image.

You have already found and used the key, maybe you did not realize it but . . . you have found and used it to open the front door. If you are standing in the room with the globe and pork (see attached) the key has unlocked the front door. You will not find another key or need it to enter the front room.

You must now manipulate the lanterns to proceed down the hall. This can take some time and effort or you can read the walk-through if you want to progress without figuring it out.

I will not say more as you probably want to play the game without spoilers . . . =)

Yes this is it exactly. The solution was that i don't need any key. I was thinking the first door isn't locked and we need key for the door after that cause i had already had the key. I had already used it. I was so stuck with the key idea that i didn't even look for other things.

After that it is just an easy candle work. I've never used a walkthrough while playing RPG's, it kills all the fun. After all the fun part is exploring and solving.

Though the part of quest after that disappointed me. There is only two of cure potions but you have 3 people in need of a cure. At least you could talk healers from Aleroth and together find a cure. But they just stand in the tavern and drink their ales. No new dialogue options opens. After all they came for healing the plague, though the plague is a lie, a professionel healer can not heal poison is ridiculuos.

This is exactly a part of game that could use help from Larian or fans that could be improved with a "Unfinished Business" patch or something. Like they did with Baldur's Gate.

That and the part with Duke's assasination. You've found the assassin but what? Assasins does not kill people just by themselves. They do it for money. Someboody wanted Duke death. The real murderer is who paid the money and gave the order. So why don't we continue the quest and find the real murderer behind this?

Concerning the super fast speed . . try pressing the R key to see if this causes your character to walk as fast as you described. The R key toggles "Always run" on and off. I leave my character in the always run mode as I like to get around quickly.

If you are not using the R key to "always run" and you get into a fierce battle you may have accidentally pressed the R key which would cause your character to run / move much faster than you would expect if you had been walking every where. Pressing the R key again returns the speed to "walk", pressing it again will toggle "run" back on.

I too was focused on the key since your thread was titled "bugs" and I had not experienced a key not appearing bug. Suddenly dawned on me that you were standing in the front room and had probably walked close enough to the key to add it to your inventory and when you approached the door . . . the key was used.

Could it be possible that there is a way to heal three?

Could it be possible that you have not finished investigating the assassination at this point in the game?

No there is no way that you can heal them all.(unless you duplicate item or pickpocket the item).

Investigation currently closed and everyone satisfied including City Watch Commander.

a)You can give the cure to one victim and then pickpocket it back.
b) You can give the cure to one victim and then kill the victim to get the cure back (it won't cost you any reputation).
c) You can drag the cure flasks out of your inventory while holding down the control key. That will open a panel allowing you to split the stack, and then you can type in "-1" and press enter to create 256 cure flasks.

Including your dupe suggestion . . that would be four ways.

You will come to understand who was behind the Duke's assassination. It's just not part of that quest.

I always understood the plague cure situation to be an intentional difficult decision created by the developers. I don't think it is unfinished.

I might be better for you to consult a walkthrough or continue playing through the game rather than jump to the conclusion that you've found a bug or an unresolved storyline every time you get stuck or can't figure something out.

Yeah i can predict that but from how that quest ended it wasn't made very good. It was very very loose and amateurish. At least we, commander should ask assasin who was behind this. Or should ask the contact that find the assasin. Even when we talk with the spirit of Duke we say it was the assasin and his spirit found peace. It should ask who really want him dead and he shouldn't be in peace until he learn the answer.

Yes it is. There is huge plot hole at size of your head there. It is not logical. We can go and ask Dr. Elrath easily for another cure. If he escaped from city watch we can go and ask help from healers of Aleroth. They come to heal the plague in the first place! And now we have the poisonous barrels. They can make an anti-dote easily!

I've stuck only "one time" and asked if it is a bug not that jumped to the conclusion. I've asked under this topic cause i don't wanna make another thread just for asking one question. And if you look my posts you can see before all are valid bugs and some of them are not reported before! You are jumping to conclusion here!

The first two are acceptable solutions. As bengeddes said, it was meant to be a difficult decision, a moral decision, a heartless decision . . . depending on how an individual plays. I play games mostly for fun. This is a great game . . one I've played thru several times.

Yes, I read your posts several times, realized you where having a difficult time playing the game and tried to help by pointing you to a very good walk through. Now I must endure your attempts to lecture me on RPG game play? NOT.

I would ask that you do some research prior to posting your next batch of "bugs". Maybe consider the possibility that you simply don't understand what you need to do next and . . . maybe that's all that's wrong . . . not some awesome bug that you alone have found?

Given the time and resources, there are lots of small and large things Larian could have added to various quests (the ones you mentioned, reporting the mind controlled soldiers to the army, etc). However, there are always going to be reasonable solutions to situations that are not implemented in a game (especially a 10 year old game where the release was rushed by the publisher and the end of the game cut back from what was planned).

There were deliberately only 2 cure potions in the game to force the player to have to choose (other than using an exploit or cheat). A logical move after finding the 2 cure potions would be to ask the healers or Elrath to make another, which would require a few more lines of dialog each for the healers, and a reason they couldn't make another (a rare ingredient, or something). On its own that isn't a big deal, but if you start doing that for many of the quests, that starts to add up, and there was already a lot of dialog in the game (when developing Beyond Divinity Larian considered not having dialog choices for the main character, due to the cost of localization and the impact that could have on a publisher's interest in releasing an RPG).

First of i think Divine Divinity as a great game and one of my favorite games but it is not perfect.

Sorry but you people are really narrow minded. A moral decision is not made like this. It only be possible after there are no solutions. If you could ask Elrath or healers of they can not make any other "cure" only then it would be. I won't talk any more about that matter. Because you can not get out the hole you dig yourself in.

What i need was not a walkthrough. Just a "simple" answer. This is not rocket science damn it. I didn't have difficult time playing the game, it is not a hard game. Also i've found the answer before reading your post but i thanked you because of your effort.

And i didn't declared or published it as a bug. I asked it? Do you understand? "Asked..." But you deliberately keep saying that i always declare something that is not a bug. Look at the first page what i post first then criticize me.

If I remembered this correctly, all three patients do not really deserve to be cured what you will discover eventually. So stop thinking about 'unfinished business' and just play further. The developers have done this intentionally.
P.S. But nevertheless all three can be cured using pickpocketing (which is obviously a bug).

Raze_Larian,
"Aura of command" spell is used to command summoned creatures. However if you cast the "Aura of command" spell to an already commanded summoned creature by you restores their HP.

That was also the case in the disk version of the game (Heal resurrected/commanded creatures...).
