Thanks i will try that. Did you have find time to look to the save games?
I looked at the saves briefly last night, and forwarded them to support (who will not get them until Monday). I'm not directly involved in QA (an under utilization of my talents, IMNSHO, but then being on a different continent than Larian Studios does impose limits).
Raze_Larian;

I have a question for you. And possible spoiler for other readers.

******SPOILER*********

I have gone to Merchants bazaar and talked with Dr. Elrath in his house. Then he left. After that i've found the poison in the inn belongs to Dr. Elrath. But i can't find him neither in poor district nor in Merchants place.

Without spoiling the game for me my question is:

"Is this a bug or i will encounter Dr. Elrath on some other place?"

Is it bug or not? Cause if it is not i will continue to find myself without looking anywhere. Oh btw, i haven't breaked into his house. If it is not a bug maybe i will find a clue about where he'd gone in his house.

It's not a bug. Investigate inside his house.
BTW, had you found the poison before talking to Elrath at his house, he simply would have claimed to have lost the key to the storage room months previous.

The problem is i can't get inside his house.

Even a Level 5 Lockpick doesn't work. Plus there is no key around. I've looked everywhere.

There is no key to enter to the house. I've thought many plots about entering the house when i couldn't found the key.

In guarantiine area they say a man died from gray death. I looked for him in the Poor''s Graveyard, Maybe his spirit or zombie form could tell me something about it. I've searched every house, every inch of wilderness and cave in Rivertown for key or another clue about Dr. Elrath but nothing....

And now i've looked to the walkthrough and it was just a key around the house that doesn't exist in my game.

Another bug i guess :( :( :(
I am in house using this workaround, exploit, cheat, whatever:

So, you are saying that you have the key, you see the house, pressing Alt did not show you the front door which in turn would not open so you could not get in because the key didn't work?

I've reloaded and used key several times to enter the house. Did you install the game as an administrator? Did you turn off UAC when you installed? Did you install in a directory outside of Program Files? Have you right clicked the game shortcut, clicked Properties, clicked the Compatibility tab and checkmarked "Run this program as an administrator?

The troubles you seem to be having seem like read / write issues from a partial / incomplete install of the game rather than one bug after another.

No, i haven't got any key. I am saying from the start i haven't found that key anywhere. I can enter the first door. There is "globe" and "roasted pork" in this room. But after that no entry to anywhere.

My solution didn't work completely cause though i can enter basement i still can't access his bedroom.(There is 2 curing potions in basement, maybe there are more in bedroom.)

-My UAC is always disabled
-Always install my games to another directory "D:\games\gog\rpg\divine_divinity"

Go to the back of the house, look around the boulder for the key. Use it on the front door which will only show when you press ALT.

There will be far more complicated things to do once inside as you must use the lamps to progress further.

When you installed, did you right click the DD setup.exe and click "Run as an administrator" in the resulting dialog?

After Installing, did you right click the game shortcut, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab and check mark "Run this program as an administrator"?

Edit: See basic DD install tips here.
