Minor spoilers; beware.

I've gathered the Council of Seven and it's time to perform the ritual to transform me into the Divine One. I hit the gong and the ritual cutscene proceeds normally until shortly after Janus shows up. As the four Death Knights walk out of the portal, Janus attacks and kills each of them (this isn't supposed to happen) and then the cutscene just stands still. I've left it on for a while (until the game displays a message acknowledging that the scene has gone on for too long and that there must have been an error) and it won't continue from that point. Since Janus attacks the Death Knights, we can assume that the cutscene's script loses control and the default AI kicks in.

I've tried reinstalling and it still happens. Does anyone have suggestions, either for fixing the bug or, failing that, skipping through the cutscene?
I mostly fixed it. Using the old config to switch to software acceleration (instead of Direct3D or DirectDraw, neither of which could get through the cutscene), Janus still attacked the Death Knights, but the cutscene progressed as normal after that. Thus, I was able to continue and finish the game!

Has anyone else come across this bug?
I don't recall anyone reporting this in the official Larian forum.

FWIW, I've gone though the blessing ceremony a bunch of times (in the disk version of the game), and have seen the summoned death knights killed by Janus and join in the attack on the council, without any problems. I got the download version of DD awhile ago, but have not started a new game.
