Well, a read forums and didn't see problems exactly like mine.
My BD start runs very slow in open wide areas, like forest. In dungeons game works just fine, around 75 fps, but in open areas - slow-motion.
My configuration: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz, 4096MB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT, Windows 7 x64 - i suppose that's enough to run such old game fine. BD installed not in Program Files, "Run this program as an administrator" checked, UAC disabled.
How i can resolve such a problem?

Vaishnavaastra: ...
Try different compatibility modes, BD seems to like Win98 mode for some reason. Make sure your video drivers are up to date.

Try using RunFirst to set the affinity to a single core. Do this manually first, if it works for you then use RunFirst.

Some Win 7 64 systems need to have the memory limited to 2048 but I don't like that solution as it needs to be done / undone every time you run the game.
