I am on the barracks level, outside General Bram's room. I need to give a bottle of white rum to Kegan. I have the bottle. I can find no way to give it to him. It doesn't come up anywhere in the conversation thread. I opened the trade window, but the bottle of rum doesn't appear. I tried opening the inventory window and placing the bottle of rum on Kegan's character, but that doesn't work either.

How do I give him the bottle of rum?

This seems to be a bug a few people online have run across. I won't insult your ability to google/bing the problem. However the game is buggy, so you may have no choice but to change out of the armour and kill him. Did you talk to him before picking up the rum? I think that may be the issue (i.e. get the quest first before you get the rum).

9 years later I just ran into this exact same problem. What a pain! If the problem is that you have to get the question BEFORE you get the rum, then it's most annoying that the rum is found en route to the quest.

It should help if you drop the white rum on the ground, and pick it up again (with your hero character). That should get the dialogue option to appear.
