Hi, I bought Beyond divinity, but I've got a little problem. When I change resolution from 640x480 to any higher, game become very slow. Running, fingting, everything is so slow, that even the fight against a rat takes few minutes. Do you have any idea, what should I do? I play on Windows Vista with the latest drivers for my graph. card.

I just bought beyond divinity and have the same issues. My computer is a powerhouse quadcore i7 6gb ram GTX 580 1.5GB video card. This is absolutely ridiculous that my computer is TOO POWERFUL to run a game.

I would want a refund but the game came as a bundle with DD2. But i feel pretty ripped off when I already owned DD, bought a pack that contains DD, BD and DD2 to find out that BD is worthless and it was pointless that i already bought DD a 2nd time, but i still valued getting 2/3 games, now it is down to 1/3 games from a bundle.

Very lame.
Did you try limiting the memory Windows sees to confirm it was the same issue?

My system is similar to yours and I have no problems. I don't understand the posts above yours about restricting the game to a certain amount of ram or to a single core.

I have:
Core i7-2600K
16GB RAM GTX580
1.5GB with GeForce v301.42
I tried creating a profile and cranking up AA settings to see if I could slow it down and had no problems. I play at 1280x800 to keep things from getting too small. But I also tried native res at 1920x1200 and had no problems. I have vsync forced on.

Maybe it's a driver or setting issue for you?

With the disk version of BD or the original GOG release, some people ran into performance problems in 64 bit Vista/7, which could be fixed by limiting the amount of RAM Windows could see (Larian forum topic 30-40 FPS in XP x86; 10 - 20 FPS in Vista x64).

Ah, so this is one of the things fixed with the remastered edition?
And, I should have paid more attention to the dates of the previous posts. I might have figured that out for myself:)

I don't have a list of specific fixes. There were some general performance improvements, but a couple people have reported slowdowns (which may or may not be due to the same issue).

FWIW, tonight I was able to play BD without any problems on a 64 bit Win7 laptop (relatively new, but low end) with 6GB RAM.

One person in the Larian forum reported performance problems due to an anti-virus program (Comodo in that case, but any real time scanner can cause problems with games, etc).

Stuff: I have used all of the Vista advice on Win 7 without any problems. I can't seem to get into BD like I did DD so I can't offer much help since I am only about 1/3 thru it. Always find myself playing something else.

The trick that seems to fix the slow problem in Win 7 is limiting the memory available to the game. Make sure you make note of your original setting prior to changing it since you have to change it back after playing the game. That's why I don't like this solution, it has to be done / undone every time. Still . . . it seems to fix the slow down on SOME systems. See the attached image for how to do the memory limit. 2048 seems to work the best for most folks.
I had the same problem and after searching for the solution at the official boards I came to the very same solution. Works great now! :)
