So is it natural for the game to freak out so badly when I alt+tab or press the windows button? This is seriously annoying. Anyone else has problems?

If you're running Windows 7 have you disabled visual themes, desktop composition and display scaling in the shortcut ?

Yep- it wigs out with the windows button with win7-64 in a freakish spasm for me. I just did what Kezardin said - right click the icon for the game and those options are there under the compatibility tabs. I find that Aero and themes are the bane of my gaming existence, so I now automatically disable it for all games and run as admin-- it just saves aggravation. I never use the alt-tab for anything. Just never needed it.
