Mornagest: Hi Dynaheir - oops, DyNaer ;)
Thank you for your answer ! Indeed I speak about the offline installer, sorry for forgetting to mention this !
The fact is that I live in a small village far from the last web relay and my bandwidth is really small, so I downloaded those files at my office where I have optical fiber access...
I tried to sync the game installation with GOG Galaxy but I have to download 22 GB so it will take me more than three days to do so :(
I checked in my folder but I have all files downloaded (the .exe and the 12 .bin files). There is also a 5 MB file for a DLC but I suppose it is not necessary for the initial installation ? I'll try this to be sure, anyway.
In addition, I have to mention that I cannot disable file checking. I just run the .exe and it immediately says one or more files are corrupted... no box to match, no option, no nothing :(
I see, well in this case, something went wrong....
The DLC shouldn't be part of the verification process, you are correct. I was mistaken the check box was probably for small installers, (not the large one), that's odd.... i was sure of this... it probably has changed or i misleading with something else.
I wouldn't have tried to synch with Galaxy, either you download all files & hope to get all files correctly donwloaded , either you install it from the client.
I never used the client, i can't speak too much about it (to me, it's either with or without it.....)
The problem you have, is (and i understand this,) you can't install it at home wih the local files you d/l at your office because a file or multiples ones are corrupted. And using Galaxy will take forever....
So i suggest, run once the installer, take a screenshot, about the error and sent it to the support, it's possible offline installers could be corrupted... if i find a reliable source with hashes i will post them (but the person who posted them stopped doing this in 2017)
You can also try this (never used it) , but many users said its running fine :
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogrepopy_python_script_for_regularly_backing_up_your_purchased_gog_collection_for_full_offline_e You can try again (if you can) to d/l all files at your office & create, a set of hashes to check the files at home are ok.
two tools :
http://www.ov2.eu/programs/rapidcrc-unicode https://sourceforge.net/projects/checksumcontrol/
try the 1st one first (but you need to install this at your office & home ,(not sure it will be allowed at your office)
if you sent the hashes to the support they probably will be able to determine which file(s) is/are corrupted...
hope, that will help, yeah for this game it's a PITA, for the offline installer :-(
