Changed name, but canned text selection lists still use Sebille, the base character used for character creation.Verbal communications between characters use new name.
Chose ranger, and deselected Geomancer and selected "ranged" skill with skill point. Skill points allocated correctly, but am still able to learn and use geomancer skills. Nice feature?

Are you playing the latest version (3.0.33.118)? Ranger uses Pyrokinetic.
Did you switch origins after making the change, without adjusting the preset or skills? If so, that is a known issue, which will be fixed in the next update. I couldn't reproduce this just reallocating ability points.

I assume the issue with the names is a work in progress, since they could not originally be changed (all the origin dialogues would need to be updated).
