Hi.

Did anyone here recently tried DOS2 game editor: Extras->Editor (definitive version)? And if so did it work for you?

I do get initial window where I select path to DefEd\Data subdirectory, but then it crashes with errors like:

ls::BinSerializer::LoadHeader]: File 'C:/users/gavin/My Documents/Larian Studios/Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition/PlayerProfiles/Guiliar/profile.lsb' has version 3.6.7.0, which is too new for serializer with version 3.6.6.0!

This seems, like I'm trying to use old version of editor on files produced by newer version of game (my game is fully patched) - but I've dowloaded the editor 2 days ago.
I've also found several threads on larian forums, that only strengthen this suspicion.

Note: I've double-checked, that I'm trying to use Definitive Edition version of game, editor Extras->Editor (definitive version) and I'm pointing editor to proper DefEd\Data subdirectory.

If anyone can point me to some solution, it would be much appreciated.

The editor is indeed a little out of date, but that should not cause a startup crash. I just installed the latest version of the editor, and tried after renaming the My Documents D:OS 2 DE folder, to get the game to re-create it (to check with a new profile).

Have you tried the editor for the original release?
