Thanks

Thanks for posting this, because otherwise I wouldn't have even known there was an update, since I don't normally use Galaxy. Which is probably why Galaxy decided to download the entire 12 GB, instead of just what it should have needed.

That said, so far the main thing I noticed is that they finally got around to fixing that full screen issue - though it most likely will still switch to windowed the first time after the patch, but if you set it to full screen at that point, that seems to make this setting actually stick (once more).

The loading times may be shorter as well, but that could just be my imagination.

Now on to play it... HARDCORE!

You probably use Galaxy regularly, right? I tend to normally use the offline installers as much as possible, and only go to galaxy when an interesting update is out (that isn't available via the offline installers yet).

I think the two installation methods must not play well together: Galaxy often has trouble identifying the version for some games, and this game was one of them. As a result, the latest "update" is really a full install.

This is true. I have the 2.0 beta on my main box and it's..... not ready quite yet.

OK I have no idea what the hell Galaxy did, but I don't seem to have the newest update - I've got some freaky update number that doesn't match any of the supposed "releases", and I can't see any "hardcore" mode.

For some reason it also kept my old DE files in a subfolder of the main game, for some stupid reason.

At least the full screen bug is fixed.

Yeah noticed that immediately after I posted the above, and have already started downloading it.

The patch will probably arrive as soon as I finish downloading the last part of the full install...

Still have no idea why Galaxy decided to download an older version instead of the latest one - it seemed to be downloading the entire game anyway, so there's no reason it couldn't have grabbed the latest files. What a massive pain in the ass.
