Is their any way to inscrease the size of the game's screen? Is it because I'm playing on a widescreen monitor set to 1366 x 768? All I know is that the game's screen is tiny and it almost makes the game unplayable.

This is in Disciples 1

At what resolution are you playing the game itself and did you set it to 'Stretch to Fullscreen'?

How can I find the resolution that I'm playing in?

When you go to start, programs. GOG and Disciples 2 you can select Game Configuration and there you can change the game settings like resolutions etc

Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention that I was playing Disciples 1. I did try going to the configuration settings before but there didn't seem to be any resolution option.

Oh sorry dude, I don't have that one. Maybe try it in the general section of the forum.
Okay, I've noticed something new. Normally, with my widescreen monitor I set in the ATI control center for it to preserve aspect ratio, so if I'm playing a game like Fallout there are just black borders on the side. What Disciples does is reset it to centered, which makes a 640 x 400 box in the middle of my screen. For some reason opening Disciples resets this for some reasons. After opening Disciples and closing it, Fallout became centered. Why?
Open the "Configuration" (there's a link in the game's Start Menu folder). Is the box "Use DirectDraw (faster)" checked? If I uncheck it, I get a small screen too on a laptop.
I'm having the same issue. I've tried checking 'Use DirectDraw (faster)', which has no effect. The game still displays as a small box in the centre of the screen, with the rest of the screen showing up black. Does everyone have this issue?
Ok, I seem to have fixed the problem. If you are using an ATI graphics card and are having this issue, try opening the Catalyst Control Centre and make sure that under Preferences you have selected Advanced view.
Switch the desktop resolution to 640x480, it will shrink to the small box in the centre of the screen. Next change the Scaling Options to Keep Aspect Ratio. The screen should now go to 4:3 full screen. Change the resolution back to whatever you had before and run Disciples 1, it should appear in glorious 640x480 full screen.
Hope this helps.
It does, with the exeption that I have to rearrange all my desktop icon after playing because I got way too much icons on it for such a small resolution. Any idea how I could avoid this?

I don't know about everyone, but I do. Nothing I've tried works--adjusting screen resolution, configuration, etc.

It's nearly impossible to play this game on the tiny (about 2 x 3 inches) window in the middle of my screen.

Update: I managed to fix the problem on my computer. The suggestion above (change resolution, then change scaling) works, but apparently every graphics card is different. I had to fiddle with mine quite a bit, and I'm not sure I could repeat what I finally did.

for AMD go to Catalyst Control Center /Advanced View
>Desktop Management > Desktop Propeties - change resolution to lower

then go to:
>My Built-in Displays > Propeties (Built-in Display)
Scaling Options > Strech

After that select normal resolution

Before changing resolution to 640x480 click RMB on desktop and untick "View -> Show desktop icons".
They will dissapear and you'll have to launch the game from start menu or GOG Galaxy, but after you get back to high resolution, RMB on desktop and tick the option on - your icons will reapear in the same configuration as they were before resolution change (I think Windows keep they arrangment in memory, to make them reapear as they were before).

I know it's old topic, but maybe it will help someone seeking for advice.
i've bought that game this month and still no official solution to game freezing problem.
Unfortunately AMD trick seem to be unavailible for NVidia card - I can change resolution but can't see any "keep aspect rato" option. Besides it stil crashes when played in 640x480.
