Hi there,

Just that question, anyone knows if this is the ps1 rom emulated or is a real compilation for PC?

Thanks.

But it is logical that it is the PC version recompiled by those at GOG (CDProject), you notice it both while you play and also from the files that are in the folder where it was installed which contains the files of the original PC game disc ahahhahah

why? I'm pretty sure that metal gear solid 1 for pc was a ROM emulated embedded into a .exe
is just an example

The GOG version of the first Metal Gear Solid is the Windows version that came out in 1999 and is called Metal Gear Solid Integral, it is only available in English and consists of two CD-ROMs.
then you just suppose this dino crisis is a compilation of the pc version or you really know it?

Metal Gear Solid was released on PC in late 2000 using like base the Integral version using just the english lenguaje. There are some textures changed, for example, the face of Solid Snake has well-textured eyes instead of the blurry face.

I have the same question, I never heard anything about a DC PC version, and knowing that in those years it wasn't common to save the source code, I come to see if someone knows something about what kind of version this is.

It's the PC version of the game. You can tell by firing it up, but anyway GOG kind of touch on it on their video about how they got it to work on modern systems (I believe the video was linked in the announcement page).
sorry, but you didn't really know it existed for PC?
Or are you too young to think it only existed for PS1, because otherwise the situation can't be explained.
Because I've had the original DC disc in Italian for PC for 23 years

I think this is the video you're talking about, right?

Yeah, it seems that they talk about the builds on PC, so yeh, it looks like it's a real PC build, thanks for your answers, i'll buy it right now :D

EDIT: I can see some z-buffer errors like ps1 version... that makes me unhappy :(

This is the link to the video (I think it didn't copy properly for your post), but yeah, you can see arrange mode on the title screen, and the way they talk about it obviously makes it sound like it's an update to the original windows builds, even if they don't flat out state as much.

Have fun! :)
