After apparently clearing the town of all visible monsters it says theres still 1 monster left and can't leave back through the portal or enter the den before 'the area is cleared'

Searched the map thoroughly several times but no sign of the last monster.

Any clues where to find it?

i was adding new quest monsters.
in this case, Halls of the Blind boss on level 7.
Ravenholm is technically level 7 too, but it's a special quest level and I forgot to add that check, so he is there, in northern part of the map beyond the fence (most likely)

this bug gets fixed in later versions

for now i would suggest to use ranged weapons or aoe spells in northern direction of the map to kill that boss, then level will be cleared. and dont forget to save before going down the Den. it gets hot down there.

Thanks, found it outside of the fence at the river.

But stil not possible to save the game inside a quest area

game cannot be saved in quest area (unless it's Easy mode), killing all monsters in quest area allows casting town portal or returning to basic levels through stairs - there you CAN save
