I'm presuming there's no issue, since it explicitly says it includes the original Diablo. Just wondering before I buy it, since I tend to spend more time mucking around with game reimplementation/development than actually playing the games :)

You may find devilution (https://github.com/diasurgical/devilution/commits/master) interesting since it is the game already reversed engineered from the PlayStation port.

Thanks. This may actually be the one I was thinking of, from last years announcement. On review, it sounds like Freeablo is a separate still work in progress reimplementation.

Hi, developer of freeablo here.
Freeablo is indeed still WIP, but IMO it's getting pretty close to playable.
This currently won't work with freeablo, but since it seems the binary is almost unchanged, adding support should be pretty easy, and I will be doing that in the next few days.

It's not the playstation port. It's decompiled PC version code, with symbols taken from PS1 disc.

The goal of devilution is to be identical to Diablo 1.09b, devilutionX is the port for modern operating systems.
