Hello,

I can't figure out how to put the gun back into the holster.
There is a key defined to draw it, but how do I put it back when I want to use my fists again or run fast? Pressing the key again doesn't work, and I've not figured out how to do that by other means than waiting. It seems that it happena automatically, if you wait long enough, but that's not an option while fighting.

Thanks for any hints.

When trying to play with a gamepad, which is bugged, thus does not work using GOG's "extended edition", by the way, I found out how this is supposed to work:

The weapon is drawed, as long as you press the key, and put back as soon as you release it.

This, however, does not work (at least on my Debian Linux machine): pressing the key, and releasing it, results in the weapon remaining drawed, until a "cooldown time" has passed, no matter what you do in the meantime. This also applies to the "speed button" in AR. The higher speed is "locked" for a while.

I've got no idea yet, if that's a bug in unity, the game itsself, or some incompatibility with something else on my computer.

Wasn't the key for drawing a weapon and attacking with fists/running seperate? You don't have to wait for it. Press and hold the key to draw the weapon, and as soon as you release the key, it should put you back into the usual state, letting you melee-combat or run. I don't remember the exact buttons, but haven't had a bug like this throughout the game with a controller.

Yes, but you can't run with the weapon drawn, you'll move slowly instead, and the "attack with fists" key is the same as the "shoot" key.

Yes, as I tried to point out in my second post, this is obviously how it is supposed to work. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on my computer (Debian Linux, rather old). There are two actions in the game which work like this: drawing the weapon and "running" in "Cyberspace". Releasing the key does not "reverse" the action here (on my machine). The events for pressing and releasing keys are generated normally, and work everywhere else. It doesn't matter if a keyboard and mouse or a controller is used (except that a controller doesn't really work – the keys are initially wrong, and the in-game remapping doesn't work).

What should happen:

Press the key to draw the weapon, (and hold it, move slowly and shoot while holding it,) release it, and the weapon is put back, all keys work like normal again.

What really happens on my computer:

Press the key to draw the weapon, and it will remain in that state, even if you release the key, and all other keys continue to perform the function as if you still held the key, until a certain time has elapsed. Effectively, the "key release event" seems to be delayed for about at least a minute.
