Kentie launcher: http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/
I made it work... mostly. When it tries to load the Liberty Island map, it crash with a very cryptical error message. I couldn't capture it,
The game working fine here, except the mod's specific options are missing in the game's menu:

You can't switch between the original and new soundtrack, and can't change the UI scaling mode (you can change it with Kentie's launcher option menu though).

Not sure by your wording what you meant.

Will Kentie's launcher change the UI only?
Will Kentie's launcher change the soundtracks only?
Or will Kentie's launcher change both?

You can change the UI scale with Kentie's launcher, but you can't select the soundtrack.

Thanks for clarifying.

So, what soundtrack's playing for you when you run Revision mod Non-Steam style?
It's playing the new soundtrack.
*Sigh* This is what happens when modders and publishers get in bed together...
That and the fact that they intentionnally hid till the release that it would be a Steam exclusive.

I wonder if that was part of the agreement, when they signed w/ Square - they couldn't mention it was Steam-exclusive until the last minute.

MrTrigun: Guys...my post from ModDB page:

"Ha-haaa...IT WORKS..IT F***ING WORKS (music as well)...SCREW STEAM :D :D
Folks and I mean CD/GOG version owners (eff u steam fanboys)..use the standalone installer and ignore steam at the end.
Then download Kentie's launcher, extract it into your Deus Ex/System.
Make a copy of the Deusex.exe and rename it to Revision.exe
Now run the Revision.exe..configure it how you see fit...and finally in Data Directories make sure to check everything..you can uncheck BioMod and/or Shifter if you don't want to play with them.
..and that's it. have fun. :D"

..can't post links..google the Kentie's launcher
Thanks and +1!

Nice, I might give it a try. Question, why the insults to the Steam users? Isn't that a little bit beyond immature?

Have you read what "steam users" say about this issue?

Also, would be nice to have a sticky exlaining how to get this to work with non-steam versions (gog, retail, etc...).
