so the game minimizes whenever there is a loading screen. I looked around and the only possible solution i have seen is to disable visual themes and desktop composition. unfortunately both options miss from windows 8 (godamn 8). I went to the system properties and disabled every effect but nothing.

Is there any other possible solution for the problem? Because trying to play when it minimizes every few minutes is frustrating.

I don't know of any viable way around this for Windows 8 and later since Aero is always active. The game does work correctly apart from this so it's a harmless annoyance. Windows 8 introduces some changes that incidentally fixed certain Aero-related issues seen in previous versions (e.g. weird colours in DirectDraw games) but this particular Aero compatibility problem still remains for Deus Ex: Invisible War and Thief: Deadly Shadows.

of course i run it with compatibility and administrator etc. well i am fairly along now but its still annoying especially since i am reocrding it and i need to edit each video to get those moments out.

Decent game though so there is that :)
