zonic: Just wondering if we will be getting the Linux version on GOG?
shylock.596: We won't be getting it. Feral doesn't support DRM free versions like GOG and they're the ones who would have to do it. SE obviosuly doesn't mess with Linux as they outsorce the work and the response I have gotten from feral in the past regarding GOG releases was no. To anybody who wants to flame me for this view: prove me wrong. Either show me a game where Feral has made a Linux version that went DRM free or show me an email response where they said they would. I would love a DRM free version of any game but in this case it just ain't going to happen.
I've asked for Feral releases to be a thing on the wishlist even though it seems that their policy is not to engage with GoG. You never know. If you want a native port of this game you'll need to wait for the steam sale regretably.
I won't be getting this game although its on my list. The alternative is for GoG to support playing on linux more actively through wine, lutris, gamehub and Proton etc, similarly to the efforts Steam is applying to encourage gaming on Linux.
Its a shame that games with Linux ports don't show up on GoG because I would snap it up for native linux support.
The best platform for native games appears to be non DRM-Free at the moment at least.
