Hi there, just a little heads up. My game won't lauch when DX12 is selected. It would just go to a black screen and return back to the desktop. Meanwhile DX11 works just fine. Any known reason for it to behave this way?

Same here, I hope is not a problem with GOG Galaxy.
Also having this problem
Same issue here, running on RTX 2080
I haven't run into that issue yesterday, albeit I only launched the game through the "DMXD.exe" itself and the Galaxy client was not running.

Did everyone having this issue started the game through the Galaxy client?

You are right, it's a galaxy problem, I could play with dx12 running the game through the .exe instead of galaxy... damm

Same here. DX12 doesn't start via Galaxy.
DX12 in this game is not that great, it works for me on my GTX 1080 but its so much better on DX11

What Demitrix2k said!
I had the same problem, but I think I found a fix.

Disable GOG Galaxy ingame function overlay from the game configuration in Galaxy and DX12 starts. See attached screenshot.

Another fix I found was disabling "fullscreen optimization" of windows 10 in the compatiblity settings of the Deus Ex executable (in retail/dxmd.exe)
Yes i have the same problem, fallback to DX11 helps if you want the in game overlay ;)
Lets hope GoG team will fix this in the future (wrote a ticket but they are quite busy)

I use the DX11 fallback too now. Had some DirectX driver error with crash to desktop with DX12 when accessing in-game menus (e.g. save game). No problems and crashes with DX11 yet.

I am running an AMD Radeon 5700XT with recent driver 20.4.2 by the way.
May also need to disable your graphics driver overlays.
