Getting the exact same thing here

Solution :

The Problem was the Audiodriver from Nahimic ( MSI Mainboard ).
Delete the old Audiodrivers and Go whis the Stockdrivers from Realtek.

This worked for me.

Huh, for me (& others) the issue is DirectX 12.

Specifically, overlays are supposed to cause this crashing on launch in Dx12. In my case there were 2 overlays to isable before it worked: GOG overlay and AMD overlay

I had a similar problem - after crashing during a dialogue DX:MD throwed me back to desktop again and again just after a few second of startup intro/logo sequences. I tried a lot of things: driver reinstall, clean boot etc. None of that made any difference.

Finally i turned off cloud save syncing and moved all of my saves to a different folder and the game started up.I deleted two most recent save games (in my case DXNGsavegame0000.dat and DXNGsavegame0001.dat) and that helped.

Did everything that said in that topic - can't start it anyway. Sametime Steam version works fine :\

I'm in the same situation. Does the menu load? I can start the game, and gameplay lasts only from about 10 seconds to a minute before I get a crash to desktop.
