It doesn't even appear to be compatible with XP.

I'm usually impressed with GoG, but the lack of any help is starting to frustrate me. This should have been checked out before it was released.
Well, I'm guessing they are occupied with Witcher 2, and they don't care right now for "smaller" titles like this one... I'm still surviving somehow, made it to 22. level, and still crashing. Unbelievable :(

Come on GOG, we're still counting on you!!!
Now I'm having another problem. Whenever I try to move when an enemies view is scanning around, it lags.
Did you try to change settings for sound? From high to low? I remember that I had that problem too 4-5 years ago, but can't remember how I fixed that.
I sent a ticket concerning this issue to support yesterday. This might be a stupid question, but is there any opportunity to review all my open tickets? Since I am not perfectly sure, if my ticket was sent correctly. I did not get an email, too. I can not find an appropriate option on the website...

I'll try that. Thanks.

I was just about to ask the same question. I have the same issue with demo version and was curious if GoG fixed it in its release. I did a quick google research and it seems to be related to nvidia cards.

Changing graphic and sound settings has no effect on the issue on my computer.

Anyways it's not related to crashing issue so I guess it should get its own topic....

Ethaar: Could you (all users who have this kind of problem) send a ticket to support via form on our website with DxDiag.txt file attached?
Just posted mine. Hopefully you guys will see a pattern there!
Doesn't matter anymore... I finished game with all those random crashes and countless restarts of my PC... Still fun though, like in 2001.
Hello,

I bought Desperados today and I'm experiencing the same problem where the game freezes and you can't close it via ctrl+alt+del. Using Win 7 64bit. In addition I noticed my saved games are gone, though I can still start the missions I already unlocked.

Also, where can I find this DxDiag.txt that was mentioned?
In Windows 7, press Start, in the search bar, type dxdiag.exe and press enter - this brings up the dxdiag program.

There should be a "Save all information" or such button, press that, and you get prompted to save a txt file - this is your DxDiag.txt.
Hazexel, thanks for the tip, that solved the problem with DxDiag.txt.

So it just crashed for the second time and all my saves are gone now.

I'd really like to play this game. it just seems to be too much trouble to save and quit the game every 30mins or so.
Unbelievable GOG, unbelievable

I am dissapoint
Ticket was sent more than a week ago - still no reply :(
Wasn't really able to play the game, since the crashes are far too frequent.

Has somebody ever tried to get a refund for any game from GOG? In general, I'm a big fan of GOG, but this game really seems "broken" to me. Maybe they could give all customers who experience those problems a 5,99$ voucher and delete the game from their account?
