Im at a brick wall now, and can't proceed. I have all the Icons:Builders, Collector Icons and have entered the the place where the Priest's Icon is located. 1. How do I get to be chosen by a priest to get the icon that is surrounded by a force field. I've looked around for some switches and even waited for one of the priest to come to the ship to choose me......but no luck. How do I get around this force field to get the last icon???? In the same room the forcefield is in. Look at the floor. Fly over all the parts that have blood drops on them. Once you've gone over them all, the forcefield will disappear.
If you go over any part that doesn't have blood on it, you will have to start over -- leave the room and come back in.

ZAMFEAR,When I first went into the priest,I saw spots on the floor but did'nt realized that it was blood. Ok what I;ve done was to place markers over spots where not to go,because there are also empty spots (small areas) between some of the pillars as well. so far no luck,but will keep trying it.....Do very much appreciate the insight..........drums18@verizon.net....Danny[
ZAM FEAR ..So far i've been doing what you've suggested. Like I said in prior posting placed markers in places where not to go. I flew around and tracked them slowly untill cock eyed.... but yet the force field remains. The game also stated that I have to be chosen by a priest (Message says that a priest walks among the collums / or that you're not worthy......especially to enter that locked door) which there are many that are gathered at and entrance; with Red and Blue lit faces. If you happen to bump or kill one of them it'll deduct points from your score. Question is; other than flying around in the room that has the blood on the floor......how do you get to be the chosen one......which would have to be by one of thoese priest.......drums18@verizon.net

Look, forget about the message. All you have to do is fly over all the blood marks to be considered the chosen one. That's it, shield down. If you mess up before making it to the end, you have to start over.
Now, i never played the game but maybe this will help you. Give it a try if you're really stuck.
From Gamespot's Guide
Go through the door. In the distance, you will see the
priest’s icon. Don’t move forward to grab it yet, as you must take the
correct route through the various pillars to acquire it.
Move past the first set of pillars and turn right.
Move against the wall and turn left.
Move past two pillars and turn left.
Move past one pillar and turn right.
Move forward, turn left, and be careful not to touch the force field.
Move past two pillars and turn left.
Move past two pillars and turn left.
Move past two pillars and turn left.
Move past two pillars and turn right.
Move forward, and the force field will finally drop, letting you pick up
the priest’s icon.

Got the Priest's Icon,went in and destroyed the Beast; of coarse after dying A good many times.....recovered the wreckage and got out. Thank You My Man. You're The Man......Out of the 3 Descents which is your favorite?? The very first one I've played came in / with an old IBM computer,already installed. I liked the game so much I bought Descent 2 at a comp USA store. After finishing that, which then some time has passed in between. Did'nt see the game released in any of the game stores,because maybe I was too busy playing The Halos games on the Xbox. It just so happens while looking for a lionel train instruction manuel I came across the Descent 2 Manuel. Went on line to the web site and seen /saw that they did had came out with a Descent 3 game and down loaded right away.So I had the game since around Thanksgiving. And have bee stuck on mission Noctis Labyrithus Canyouns for some time now. As for the Descent games, i'm sorry to disappoint you, but i haven't played any of them, i'm just used to look for games related info on the web and that's how i found those instructions i posted. I actually got the 3 Descent games from gog around Christmas, but never got around to play them. Too many games to play, not enough time.
If you find yourself stuck again, post here on the boards. Lots of people around here try their best to help out.

There are many places on the web you can go for this kind of info. In this case the guide i mentioned is this one here, on gamespot, and i borrowed from that one cause it looked like it had very detailed instructions on how to beat that mission you were stuck on.
Just click on 'Walk-throughs' inside the square if you don't want to read the rest of the stuff on controls, tactics, etc, or use the arrow at the bottom to advance one page at a time if you want to read the whole thing.

Another alternative method (I didn't know about the blood method - thanks!) is to look at the ceiling. When you turn your headlight on, the tiles reflect in such a way to show arrows pointing in the direction you need to fly. Just follow the arrows....

Descent 3.
since my last posting "Noctis Labytithus Canyons" I accomplich 5 more missions. Im now on PTMC Storage Facility. Im to a piont where al I have to do is rescue the prisoner.I've knocked downa few force fields but not thr ones that holds the prisoner. There are a number of switched on the inner wall the once activated they'll read...."Power Router is de activated,then I'll fly around to see what force field has dropped.but what I noticed is these switched re activate them selves after a few seconds (The Handles Will Travel Back In The Upright Position). I also looked high and low and even went back to the beginning of the puzzle and back out side to try to find these back up generators that Im supposed to reactivate before destorying them..Im willing to start the game over. But how do you delete a saved game..I don't want to take a couple steps back to replay one game over. I may of done something wrong in the beginning......Traps

CED ORBITAL NETWORK TRANSMITTER Im in a large blue room where im attacked by all kinds of robots. In the middle is a tall tower that has a large blue lens in side spinning. And up at to top of the ceiling there is a force field that need to be shut off which is blocking my path.... 1.....How do I shut off the force field that blocks my way??? 2....In this room also is a panel with 4 little throw switches and a large circular knob that is lit on both ends in the middle. when I fired upon a certain few of these switches...it'll give me 15 seconds to enter a code. 2....What code when I don't have one in the ship's inventory??? 3....In the room prior to entering this one ther is a large rotating pionter located in the bottom1/2 of the room. There are also alphibetic letters and insignias that this pinter will move to. This is maybe where you get the code but where / what letter do you move the pointer to??? 4.....I have a lens in my inventory where do I place it I tried in all sorts of positions and areas in that room and I would get / Too Far From Lens / Lens is already in place. Where do I place this lens??? Would appreciate the help from any one in the Forum that can / would help me solve this.......Thank You.....Traps......drums18@verizon.net
